Kwibuka28: RAB Commemorates former employees Slain in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi

On Friday 29th April 2022, the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB) held an event for the 28th commemoration of the 1994 genocide against the Tuts to pay tribute to employees of the former institutions merged into RAB (ISAR, SSS, LVNR and CNIA) who were killed in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The event took place at Headquarter of RAB located in Huye District, Southern Province.

Dr Patrick KARANGWA, the Director General of RAB, said that slain employees were cruelly killed by their co-workers or employers who misused their knowledge.

“RAB is committed to putting knowledge to good use for inclusive development of all Rwandans.” He added.

Jean Claude Musabyimana, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, who was the guest of honor called on employees of the ministry, SPIU and affiliated agencies to keep unity and stick with Rwandanness pact.

The commemoration event was concluded by laying wreaths onto the Rubona Genocide Memorial where thirteen (13) bodies of victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi recovered from Rubona(6), Kimirehe(6) and Mugogwe(1) were accorded a decent burial.
