May 20, 2022, the Director General of the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board, Dr Patrick Karangwa held a two-day field visit to Kayonza and Ngoma District in Eastern Province of Rwanda.

During the visit, the Director General met and discussed with farmers and local leaders to discuss the development of agriculture and livestock in their respective locations.

The visit was meant to calling on farmers to increase vegetable production in order to satisfy the market as we are approaching the long dry season.

Long dry Season or Season C is the small agricultural season, mainly for vegetables and sweet potato grown in swamps and Irish potato grown in volcanic agro-ecological zone. Agricultural Season C starts in May and ends in August of the same calendar year.
